2 Nephi 33:6

So we found three new investigators this week!  Miracle?  I think yes!  A couple of weeks ago we stopped a woman, Wilma, just outside of our flat and we talked to her for a minute.  She has had a lot of religious people come to visit her, and she said she would love us to come and share more.  So we set up an appointment for a couple of days later, but sadly she wasn't in.  We were pretty bummed, but what's new? :)  On Friday night we decided to stop by her house again before another appointment we had.  She was there and she got really excited and told us to come in.  (never happens..)  Her daughter and her daughter's friend were also there, along with their two little yappy dogs.  We were able to teach them about the Restoration!  They all have a strong belief in God and in Jesus Christ.  And they all said they would read the Book of Mormon and if they come to know that this is the truth, they'll be baptized.  woo!  The greatest part about it all is that Wilma told us the night before we met her she had prayed and asked God to send someone to her, because she feels lost and doesn't know which direction to go.  What?!  I've always wanted a story like that. haha It was an answered prayer for her and for Sister Millward and I.  God is good.

So like I said we had Stake conference this weekend.  It was brilliant!  One-it was so great to see President and Sister Brown and some of the other missionaries.  And to be surrounded by so many members.  Two-the talks were inspiring.  One of my favorites was from Sister Brown.  She talked about 2 Nephi 33:6 "I glory in plainess, I glory in truth, I glory in my Jesus for he hath redeemed my soul from hell."  She spoke about the words 'my Jesus'...and how we can come to know Him and be close to Him like Nephi was.  Close enough to use the term 'my Jeus'.  As I sat thinking about that the thought came to my mind that it goes both ways.  Christ feels that close relationship with us, close enough to call us "my sister Rindlisbacher", or "my Amber" or "my Justin"....It's pretty great.  And He wants us to feel that way about Him.  And I'm trying. :)  Hope you are too.
